Biography
In the interest of time and space, I’ll endeavor to keep this brief.
I was born in November of 1954, outside of Cleveland, Ohio.
OK, we all have to be from somewhere, afterall, Bob Hope came from Cleveland.
As a youth my main interests were sports and horses,and eventually had some ranch experience in New Mexico around the Cimarron area. This is where I learned to ride bulls and spent a short time on the International Rodeo Circuit. I was a good 7 second rider, to bad you have ride for 8.
Since those early days I’ve had many life experiences, some good, some bad. I’ve been a Farrier, a Truck driver, even an Assistant Superintendent on a golf course. With my many experiences I’ve gained an eye for looking at landscapes and people a certain way . Which makes it easier as a photographer.
Although I’ve yet to win any awards or contests and such, it doesn’t change my view of seeing a shot as it happens.
Since my career changing injury in 2001, I figured photography was the thing to do. I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures of the mountains or sites as I was traveling around driving a truck. So with this in mind I started in this profession in 2004. Since, I’ve earned a certificate in Digital Imaging and currently working towards a degree in Digital Imaging Technology. It’s been a sort of earn as you learn experience.
I’ve found a fair audience in the rodeo arena along with portrait experience and other events. My skills and knowledge is a never ending learning experience, and I hope to learn something new everyday.
I’m a fan of the Fine Art nudes because of the diversities it offers. I find every model has something different to offer. A look, an expression, a new creative idea or just the way light hits the naked form from different angles and shades.
My feelings on nudes are fairly basic. There’s nothing wrong with beauty in the barest of forms when composed and presented in its truest fashion. Whether it is female or male, we are all created the same, only the packages are a little different.
If I had to describe my life, I would say;
The top and bottom are where it’s boring.
It’s the ride up and down the hills that are exciting.
